LANSING, Mich (WLMI) Roughly four-thousand union members and supporters chanted, shouted and protested on the lawn of the state Capitol Wednesday. The rally was part of a national effort by the AFL-CIO and AFSCME for yesterday's National Day of Protest. The protests even led to shortages of bus drivers in Detroit, as more than 80 called in sick and delayed buses by about 30 minutes. Governor Snyder said he knows he's asking people to make sacrifices and added people don't like change, but said he "firmly believes" he's doing the right thing in his budget plan.
