Lynch, who plays scheming cheerleader coach Sue Sylvester in the Glee TV series, appears briefly in the trailer, urging film fans not to watch the new movie, which hits U.S. cinemas next week (ends12Aug11).

In the teaser she says, ""Please, save your money. This thing sucks.""

The actress wasn't on tour with the cast this summer, but pre-taped segments did appear on a giant screen at the back of the stage.

But Lynch will appear on the DVD when that is released next month (Sep11).
