WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis (WSAU) The Wood County sheriffs department is recommending criminal charges against Wisconsin Rapids Housing Authority Director Jeffrey Raasch. The district attorney's office is reviewing the case, and will make a decision next week.
Raasch has been on paid administrative leave, and computers have been seized from the housing authority offices. The Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune reports a warrant in the case describes illegal child-porn downloads that are being investigated.
Some of those downloads were made via a computer connection at the housing authority. A computer server was seized by police on May 18th. A computer in Raach's office was among those under investigation.
