UNDATED (WSAU) A small plane that was being piloted by a Marshfield man crashed in a field in Thornton, Colorado. The plane burst into flames. The pilot did not survive.
Police reports say the plane was a Cessna 182, registered to Jewel Aviation of Marshfield. It was piloted by 41-year-old Salil Sinha.
There were high winds in the area at the time. The plane had just taken off from Front Range Airport near Denver. Flights at Denver International Airport were suspended for a time because of the winds.
