DULUTH, Min (KDAL) - More than 8200 runners have registered to run the 2011 Grandma's Marathon by the Wednesday deadline, that's about a thousand more than signed up a year ago. The June 18th race from near Two Harbors to Canal Park in Duluth is the featured event in a weekend that also includes the Bjorklund Half Marathon and William Irvin 5-K race. Organizers believe the runners, friends, family and other spectators will have a an 8 and a half million dollar impact on the region's economy.
