WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – A man accused of sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s 9-year-old daughter while she let it happen last fall will enter a plea this afternoon.
Bryan Hearron is charged with one count of first-degree child sexual assault. The felony charge carries a maximum 60-year prison sentence.
The plea hearing is scheduled for 3:20 p.m. before Judge Greg Huber.
The girl’s mother found Hearron lying in bed with the girl in October. Hearron has admitted touching the child inappropriately at least three times and the child told police that Hearron had intercourse with her at least once.
Huber has already sentenced the mother to five years in prison on a charge that she failed to protect her child. A convicted sex offender who lived in the house was sentenced last month to 20 years in prison for possessing a stash of child pornography.
