WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – Teachers unions and school districts in Wausau and Stevens Point continue negotiations tonight.

Both school boards have scheduled special sessions tonight to go over negotiations with their different unions, possibly to beat the deadline on the end of collective bargaining rights.

Wausau started the negotiations Friday night and Stevens Point rescheduled their negotiations to tonight.

Merrill teachers took $1.8 million dollars in concessions last week to help the district plug a long term budget hole that could have forced the district to close a pair of rural elementary schools.
