UNDATED (WSAU) A U-W Stevens Point student from Random Lake finished fifth on the C-B-S reality show “Survivor.” In last night’s season finale, 21-year-old Amanda Boehlke took advantage of a chance to get back into the game, by defeating three other castaways in a challenge on Redemption Island.
She balanced a vase on a see-saw with her foot for more than an hour. But once Boehlke got back into the Final Five, she was immediately voted out by the other contestants.
Amanda Boehlke is a communications-and-theater major at Stevens Point. She said she was happy to make it so far – and she wouldn’t change her “Survivor” experience for the world. Boston’s Rob Mariano was the winner. He had been 0-for-5 in reality competitions, after losing three previous times on “Survivor” and twice on the C-B-S show “The Amazing Race.”
