Dallas Put On A Late Rally In Regulation And Went On To Win In Overtime

by

Dirk Nowitzki put the Mavericks on his back late in regulation to force overtime and then Dallas stole a 112-105 victory at Oklahoma City for a commanding 3—to-1 series lead over the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.

Nowitzki scored 12 of his game-high 40 points during a 17-to-2 fourth quarter rally, stunning the home crowd and putting the Mavs on the brink of their first NBA Finals appearance since 2006. They can close out the series at home tomorrow night.

Kevin Durant ended up with 29 points but failed to score in the final 10 minutes of the game for the Thunder, who committed 26 turnovers.

The Bulls will look to avoid going in a 3-1 hole tonight when the Miami Heat host Chicago in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
