WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis (WSAU) With the fall sports season about to begin, Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids is putting new locker room rules in effect. Last year several members of the wrestling team pled guilty to misdemeanors for mistreating a teammate.
A copy of the new policy says that athletes must maintain personal boundaries, prohibiting horseplay and not touching anyone inappropriately.
Another section of the policy says coaches are required to supervise students in the locker rooms at all times. In the locker room is being used by athletes from different sports at the same time, coaches are responsible for supervising their players.
Student-athletes in Wisconsin Rapids are being briefed on the new policies as fall practices begin this week.
