WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAU) - Will he be Mitt Romney’s Vice Presidential running mate? The answer was a resounding 'No Comment' from Paul Ryan.
Ryan was in Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday for a GOP fundraiser. Ryan told the crowd that grassroots organization is the key to victory. He was there in support of State Representative Scott Krug, who is running for his second term in Wisconsin’s 72nd district. He also told the crowd that Republicans need to take the US Senate if they hope to get anything done in Washington.
Ryan also deflected questions on his potential as a running mate for Mitt Romney ahead of the GOP convention in Florida. A number of national media outlets showed up for the event. They've been following Ryan in case he is named as a VP candidate later this month at the GOP convention.
The congressman will attend services for the victims of the Temple shooting in Oak Creek today.
