WAUSHARA, Wis. (WSAU) - A 25 year old Plover man will spend the next two years in prison after taking a plea deal for his 6th OWI.
25-year-old Manuel Torres plead no contest to one count of OWI, and had a count each of operating while revoked and failure to install an interlock device dismissed but read in.
Under the plea deal, Torres will spend 3 years on extended supervision once released, and will be under standard OWI restrictions while on extended supervision, including absolute sobriety and revocation of his license. A judge found that he did not qualify for the Risk Reduction program while in prison.
At his arrest in April, State Patrol officers say Torres was spotted hitting several objects with this car while driving along Highway 73.
