WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) - A Wausau man is in jail after violating his probation. 32 -year-old Kristopher Torgerson was charged with possession of methamphetamines August 8th.
Torgerson is also known by his nickname of “spider.”
The new charges are not Torgerson's only concern. He is also considered a “person of interest” by Wausau Police investigators in the Stephanie Low missing persons case. Police say Torgerson was an associate of Low, and was interviewed by investigators soon after she disappeared.
Torgerson has past criminal convictions for battery, marijuana possession, and property damage. He faces a pre-trial conference on the new methamphetamine charges September thirteenth.
Wausau Police are not commenting further about Torgerson since they are still investigating at least two cases where he may be involved.
Stephanie Low has been missing since October 10th, 2010 and detectives are still inviting anyone with information about her disappearance to contact the Wausau Police Detective Bureau. The phone number is 715-261-7883.
