WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) - The Marshfield man accused of threatening to harm a woman and her unborn child was in court this afternoon. 23-year-old Tyler Ress faces false imprisonment, reckless endangerment of safety, strangulation, and attempted abortion charges after a September 29th domestic incident. He allegedly poured gasoline on Carrie Lynn Mayhone threatening to burn her, and also punched her in the abdomen knowing she was pregnant.
The Wood County District Attorney’s office confirms that Ress did not enter a plea to the charges today. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for january 18th at 11:00 a.m. His 10-thousand dollar signature bond was continued.
