MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) - Marshfield’s Board of Public Works voted on Monday to move forward with a possible revision to the city’s street parking ordinance.
Police Chief Gary Jepsen says he’d like to try alternating the side of the street that residents can park on, to eliminate problems with overnight parking and with traffic blockage, especially for emergency vehicles.
Board member Ed Wagner cast the only dissenting vote saying that he believes the change would cause unnecessary confusion.
That ordinance revision still needs final approval by the Common Council, and if passed wouldn’t go into effect until after the winter snow plowing season is over.
