TOWN OF BIRCH, Wis. (WSAU) - A fire in rural Lincoln County has totaled a trailer home.

Dispatchers got a call on Saturday about a structure fire in the Town of Birch. When they arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from a trailer home, threatening a second trailer. Crews from the Town of Russell and Tomahawk helped put out the fire.

The homeowner made it out safely, and told arriving deputies the fire started in a wall and was possibly electrical in nature.

The structure is a total loss, and was not insured.
