MERRILL, WI (WSAU) - A Merrill man was caught hunting after dark Friday evening, which led to several charges.
26-year-old Dustin Carl Elsholtz was caught bow hunting after dark when a DNR warden saw a truck parked on Timber Lane near Merrill and investigated, finding Elsholtz. Along with illegal hunting, Elsholtz admitted driving to that location on a revoked driver’s license. A Lincoln County Deputy cited him for a fifth offense of operating a motor vehicle while revoked.
Elsholtz was also charged with a felony count of bail jumping for violating terms of a Shawano County bond where he is charged with burglary. He was kept in jail on a probation hold.
