SCHOFIELD, WI (WSAU) - The Schofield fundraiser to help the Everest Metro Police Department save money for a new K9 officer was successful. The NTC Criminal Justice Club teamed up with Pizza Hut to have a percentage of buffet sales go to the K9 Fund.
Chief Wally Sparks says they raised about $1,260 dollars that night, and it was very well attended.
He is working with several businesses and foundations in an effort to raise the money so they can put a new dog on the job when present K9 officer “Lord” retires next year.
