Rihanna was very close to her beloved "Gran Gran Dolly," Clara Braithwaite, who passed away earlier this year. Now, she's honored her grandmother's memory by donating close to two million bucks to a hospital in her native Barbados.
E! Online reports that Rihanna visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados on Saturday, where the radiotherapy department of the hospital has been renamed the Clara Braithwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine. The singer's donation of $1.75 million has paid for vital pieces of equipment for the facility.

, Rihanna said, "This was my way of giving back to Barbados in a form of philanthropy, by assisting the QEH in its continued modernization program. . . .I believe that this will have a huge impact on the people of Barbados. This was all done to save lives or at least extend it...I’m really excited about it."
In other Ri-Ri news, TMZ.com is reporting that police were called to the Barbados home where she's currently staying after a man, believed to be a German national, showed up on the private property. The man left before police arrived. An investigation into the situation is ongoing.
