MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) It’s the final weekend for you to see the Winter Wonderland lights display in Marshfield’s Wildwood Park. New Year’s Eve will be the last chance to view the dazzling lights, and the display’s finale will be made even more magical with free horse-drawn carriage rides.
According to Scott Larsen chairman of this year’s event, the event could break previous donation records. There have already been more than 46,000 food items collected for 20 food pantries throughout Central Wisconsin. Larsen said that organizers hope to surpass the previous record of 57,000 food item donations before the lights go dark for another year.
Anyone interested in helping to take down the display can go to www.rotarywinterwonderland.com for details.
