STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) The WIAA released the seedings for the high school hockey tournament that begins on February 14th. Wausau West is the number 1 seed in Sectional #3 . The Warriors, DC Everest, Northland Pines & Stevens Point recieved first round byes.
First round games on Tuesday Feb 14th include #12 Merrill at #5 Mosinee, #11 Rhinelander at #6 Wausau East, #10 Tomahawk at #7 Lakeland & #9 Antigo at #8 Pacelli.
In Sectional #2 Medford will travel to Altoona for a first round game. Marshfield will play at Chequamegon in a second round game on Feb 16th.
Wisconsin Rapids is the #2 seed in Sectional #4 and will play the winner of Black River Falls/ La Crosse Aquinas on Feb 16th.
Girls hockey seedings have the Central Wisconsin Storm hosting Lakeland and Medford playing at MArshfield on Feb 16th. Games on Feb 17th feature Tomahawk at Northland Pines and Rhinelander/Antigo at Point/Rapids.
