MERRILL, Wis (WSAU) There was a house fire last night in the Town of Merrill.
Firefighters say it started in the back of a residence on Highway C. No one was home at the time, and none of the firefighters were injured fighting the flames.
It apparently started in an outdoor wood burner. Firefighters were able to use to home’s hose line to keep the fire from spreading beyond the rear of the structure.
