WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) Wausau police have re-classified the search for a missing man with dementia as a body-recovery effort. They say 62-year-old Paul Kulp, who was last seen on Saturday, could not have survived without seeking shelter.
Kulp took a taxi from Wausau Aspirus Hospital to the Chang Garden restaurant in Weston. He was last seen using the bathroom there on Saturday. After he went outside and wasn’t wearing outdoor clothing.
Yesterday a group of 10 volunteers and a specially-trained dog from Appleton aided in the search. They didn’t turn up any clues.
Wausau police say the search will be suspended today and tomorrow because of extremely cold conditions. Volunteers will be back in the area this weekend.
