RHINELANDER, Wis (WSAU) - The former director of Camp Birchrock youth camp west of Rhinelander is sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison for taking tens of thousands of dollars from the Camp Fire USA-Oneida Council and recording a young camper in the shower.
Thirty-three year old Jeremy Fadoul plead guilty in December to theft from a business setting and recording of nudity. Court records show Fadoul had misappropriated 44 thousand dollars. Camp leaders put Fadoul under investigation for embezzling that money last year. While investigating, deputies found images from a hidden camera in the girl's shower area.
One girl's mother said her daughter was having trouble dealing with the covert pictures Fadoul took of her in the shower.
Judge Patrick O'Melia also sentenced Fadoul to two years on extended supervision plus three years probation after extended supervision is completed.
