UNDATED (WSAU) Two people were hospitalized when their car became airborne after driving over a buckled section of roadway on Highway 29 in Chippewa County. A large chunk of pavement became raised like a ramp. And SUV couldn't stop in time. After becoming airborne the SUV went across oncoming traffic and came to a stop in a field. A driver and passenger inside had to be hospitalized with back and neck injuries.
The incident was put on YouTube by another driver who'd pulled over to take video of the damaged road.
Repairs have now been made to Highway 29 at County Road T. Traffic is back to normal in the area.
