JANESVILLE, Wis (WSAU) This has become a deadly heat wave in Wisconsin. The medical examiners office in Janesville says the death of an 83-year-old woman is heat-related.
The woman's body was found in an un-air conditioned apartment, where the temperature inside was 95 degrees. The coroner says the extreme heat was clearly a factor in her death.
The woman's name has not been released.
Janesville yesterday saw temperature climb to 104, with a heat index of 115.
Wausau's high temperature yesterday was 93. Stevens Point's high was 95.
