Carly Rae Jepsen is branching out into acting.  The Canadian chart-topper will guest-star on the CW's 90210 this fall.

Carly will perform a song from her upcoming album on the show's season premiere, which will air October 8.  Plot-wise, she'll appear as the headline act at the Las Vegas debut of Adrianna.  Her set gets interrupted when news about Dixon's car accident becomes known.

90210 's executive producers said in a statement, "We fell in love with [Carly's] song ["Call Me Maybe"] when we first heard it, and used it in last season’s finale before it was a national sensation. We think she’s an exciting artist and are thrilled to be able to have her music on the show again, this time in a live performance in our season premiere.”
