Adele was already planning to take some time before releasing the follow-up to her world-beating album 21, but now a British tabloid claims the singer, who's pregnant, is going to delay the project in order to fully appreciate the joys of motherhood.
A source tells The Daily Star, "She wants to take a bit of time out of the fame game to be a normal mum. The last thing she wants is for her kid to become a celebrity baby or media commodity. Being a good mum is a lot more important to her than selling records and [Adele’s] made it clear her priorities have changed now she’s pregnant."
The source adds that Adele doesn't want to spend her time touring or doing promotion when she could be at home with her baby: "Although she’s already started masterminding the third album, the chances of fans getting to hear it any time soon are slim to non-existent."
The Daily Star quotes musician and songwriter Dan Wilson , who co-wrote "Someone Like You," as saying that he's "building some tracks" for Adele's next project, and pointing out that "she doesn’t need to tour. You don’t have to when you’re that successful.”
