MADISON, WI (WSAU) After playing pro basketball overseas, former Wisconsin standout Joe Krabbenhoft is returning to the Badgers as the team’s video coordinator. Coach Bo Ryan announced the hiring today.
In a statement, Krabbenhoft noted that he was willing to give up a three-year pro career for a place on the sidelines in Big Ten basketball. He called it an “incredible opportunity” to join Ryan’s staff.
Krabbenhoft set a school record in 2009 when he played in his 136th career game. Jordan Taylor has since tied that mark. Krabbenhoft played for a team in Spain last season. He has also played professionally in Greece, South Korea, and the N-B-A Developmental League.
