Adele ’s 21 has reached a new milestone.
The massive hit album is now in its 73rd week in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart, currently sitting at #8. Billboard notes that 21 ’s run in the top 10 is longer than that of any other album released by a female musician in the chart’s history.
Prior to Adele's feat, Alanis Morissette ’s 1995 U.S. debut album, Jagged Little Pill , held the record, spending 72 weeks in the top 10. However, Adele has a ways to go to snap the overall top-10 record of 109 weeks, held by the soundtrack to The Sound of Music .
The country group Zac Brown Band tops the Billboard 200 this week with their latest effort, Uncaged . R&B star Frank Ocean ’s Channel Orange debuts in second, with Justin Bieber ’s Believe , Chris Brown ’s Fortune and Maroon 5 ’s Overexposed rounding out the top five.
