According to an unnamed source, Katy Perry is reportedly so taken by her Florence & the Machine guitarist boyfriend Rob Ackroyd that she's just shelled out some serious cash to feed his habit: vintage guitars.

The Sun reports Perry spent more than 20,000 pounds -- about 40 thousand dollars -- on a vintage Fender guitar for her new man.  The spy tells the newspaper, “She’s so smitten she’s bought Rob some very decent gifts. He’s into his vintage guitars so she knew he’d be impressed by the Fender.”

Perry reportedly stayed with Rob in London earlier this month while she was on a promotional tour in the U.K., the paper says.

Perry, who just debuted her new video for "Wide Awake," will be seen next on the big screen on July 4th when her concert film, Part of Me, debuts.
