MERRILL, Wis (WSAU) There was scattered storm damage from yesterday morning's thunderstorms.High winds toppled a barn in Merrill. Several animals escaped. That barn collapsed on top of a camper that was parked next to it. The camper then overturned onto a pick-up truck.
Family members say the barn was lifted up off its foundation. They rode out the rest of the storm in the basement of their home. No one was injured.
Wisconsin Public Service says they have 75 customers as of 3am that don't have power in the Merrill area. At the height of the storm more than 12,000 were in the dark. There are also widely scattered outages in Antigo and Green Bay. Crews should have power restored this morning.
