MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) - Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen is not optimistic the state's Voter ID case will be settled before the November election. Van Holen made the comments while speaking with a radio talk show host in Milwaukee.  Two separate lawsuits have resulted in blocking a main component of the law which had required voters to show a photo ID. The Republican Van Hollen pushed for the state Supreme Court to hear the cases. But the high court sent them back to the Appeals Court level in April, with nothing scheduled at this time. Van Hollen told Sykes the lower court officials "have shown no sense of urgency whatsoever." Supporters of the GOP backed law say it prevents election fraud but opponents claim it disenfranchises voters.
