MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) – A former UW-Stevens Point administrator has been picked as the chief academic officer for the UW System.
Mark Nook will become the senior vice president for academic and student affairs. He's held the post on an interim basis since July. Nook was one of four finalists for the job.
Nook was the interim chancellor at UWSP in the 2009-2010 school year and was also the school's provost for several years.
System President Kevin Reilly called Nook a “champion of a quality education for students” and praised Nook for his ability to work with regents, chancellors, provosts and others in the system.
