MILWAUEE (WSAU-TSN) Edwin Maysonet's grand slam highlighted a five-run sixth inning, helping the Milwaukee Brewers down the Chicago Cubs, 8-2, in the middle test of a three-game set.
Shaun Marcum (2-1) fanned six and allowed a run on three hits and two walks over seven strong innings.
Travis Ishikawa smacked two doubles and scored a pair of runs for Milwaukee, which has won three of its last four contests.
Tony Campana had two hits to go with an RBI for Chicago, which has dropped 10 consecutive games in Milwaukee. The win comes after a 13-inning, 4-and-a-half hour marathon win for the Brewers on Friday night. The series concludes on Sunday at 12:35pm CT on AM-550 FM-99.9 WSAU.
