WAUSAU, Wisc (WSAU) Both candidates for U.S. Senate made campaign stops in the Wausau area on the final day before Election Day.
Republican Tommy Thompson visited Norlen Manufacturing in Schofield. He told the crowd it was unfortunate that the senate race had become so negative. He said rival Tammy Baldwin was the first to run attack ads.
Baldwin appeared at the Wausau Labor Temple with former congressman Dave Obey. She urged her supporters to help friends and family get to the polls.
Baldwin will spend election day with U-W Madison students for get-out-the-vote efforts, Thompson attended a late-night rally in Milwaukee with VP candidate Paul Ryan.
