HATLEY, WI (WSAU) -  Two are dead and three more people injured after a head-on traffic crash near Hatley Friday afternoon. The crash happened around 4:20 p.m. in the Town of Bevent on Highway 153 near Sandy Lane.

The highway was blocked to all traffic while emergency crews assisted the three survivors and cleared the wreckage. One of the injured was flown by helicopter to Aspirus Wausau Hospital. The others were taken by ground ambulance for treatment.

Deceased at the scene were 82 year old Joyce Minha and 87 year old Steve Minha, both of Waupaca.

Wisconsin State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Marathon County Sheriff's Department, Hatley Fire Department, Weston ambulance, Rib Mountain ambulance, and Ground Spirit ambulance.
