WOODRUFF, WI (WSAU) -  A Wednesday afternoon house fire in Woodruff has claimed a life. The fire was at 9754 Norway lane, and was quickly extinguished by Minocqua and Woodruff Fire Departments. They were called to the scene just after 1:40 p.m. The victim was the only person at the house.

Authorities are withholding the victim’s identity until relatives can be notified.
