Backstreet Boys member A.J. McLean is a new father. He and his wife Rochelle welcomed a daughter named Ava Jaymes McLean on Tuesday.

In an announcement posted on his website , McLean writes, "She arrived at 4:51 a.m. on Nov. 27 weighing 7 pounds and 7 ounces. We are so in love with our bundle of joy and happy to have started our family now."

Ava is the couple's first child. McLean married his wife last December.
