B-B gun shooter back in court

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -  The man accused of shooting a BB gun from his Wausau apartment and striking a restaurant customer will be in court today. 23-year-old Daniel Burkhardt was arrested September 5th when a stray round struck someone in the outdoor dining area at Back When Cafe on 3rd Street. Burkhardt was allegedly shooting at signs and accidentally hit the victim. An employee identified Burkhardt as the suspect when seeing him quickly close the apartment window.

Burkhardt already admitted to officers he recently purchased the CO-2 gun and was shooting signs. He's charged with injury by negligent use of a weapon, resisting an officer, bail jumping and disorderly conduct.His pre-trial conference is Wednesday at 3:20 in Marathon County Circuit Court. Burkhardt has been free on a $2,500 dollar signature bond.
