MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) - Marshfield School District residents will have a referendum asking for more money this November. The district is over two-and-a-half million dollars in the red, and the School Board is considering several deep cuts in spending.
Some of the things on the chopping block include driver education, French language classes, and library staffing. Staff cuts for teacher aides, teachers and administrators are also being considered.
The district is asking voters permission to spend an extra $10-million dollars over a four year period.
