MADISON, WI (WSAU) Two injured defensive ends for the Wisconsin Badgers have been medically cleared to return – and they expect to play on Saturday against Illinois at Camp Randall Stadium.
Paul Muldoon has missed the Badgers’ last three games after he broke his left thumb in Wisconsin’s loss at Oregon State – and he returned to practice this week. Brendan Kelly, who has missed three-of-the-last-four contests with a bad hamstring, is also back at practice.
Senior safety Shelton Johnson, who broke his right arm against Oregon State, is also practicing – but he’s not expected to play against the Illini. Coach Bret Bielema expects Johnson to return October 13th against Purdue.
