WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) - Many Wisconsin Rapids area residents had telephone problems Monday. That’s because a construction crew severed a fiber optic telephone line north of town. This led to trouble for land lines, cellular calls, and emergency calls.
The line was cut in the morning, and was repaired by 2:15 p.m. restoring service as usual. The line is operated by Solarus, who made the repairs.
