WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI - Wood County highway officials are cleaning up spilled cranberries. A truck spilled its load on highway 54 at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
A semi trailer appears to have split open, allowing the berries to spill on the roadway not far from Eagle Road in the Village of Biron.
The road was closed to allow for cleanup. Traffic is being detoured via Eagle Road, Biron Drive, and 32nd Street for both east and westbound traffic. DOT officials expect the road to reopen close to 11:00 a.m.
