The home performances continued on Thursday’s installment of The X Factor . Contestants in the Teens category performed at Britney Spears ' house as celebrity mentor will.i.am offered advice. Hopefuls in the Over-25s category sang at L.A. Reid 's home as Justin Bieber watched.

Each judge has six acts and must lose two apiece before the live shows. The results of the judges' decisions will be revealed next week as 24 become 16. The contestants in the Groups and Young Adult categories, coached by Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato respectively, were featured during Wednesday's show.

Britney Spears is coaching a Teens category made up of: Beatrice Miller , James Tanner , Cary Rose Sonnenclar , Diamond White , Reed Demming and Arin Ray . Will.i.am is their celebrity mentor.

L.A. Reid coaches the Over-25s, all of whom, he considers underdogs. They are: Jason Brock , Daryl Black , David Correy , Tara Simon , Tate Stevens and Vino Alan . They are mentored by Justin Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun .

Here are some of Thursday’s highlights:

Over-25s Category:

-- Daryl Black was feeling performance pressure. He sang the Daryl Hall & John Oates song, “She’s Gone.” L.A. said Daryl “felt” the song and Scooter thought he had a “special voice,” Justin agreed that Daryl’s performance was strong.

-- Tate Stevens sang the Brian McKnight song, “Back at One,” as performed by Mark Wills , which L.A. thought was a good song choice. Justin called him “charismatic” but was not sure if Tate was worthy of the $5 million recording contract, which goes to this season's winner.

-- Vino Alan sang a ballad version of Pink ’s song “Sober.” Scooter thought, although Vino seemed nervous, he stepped up. The judges were not sure about Vino being a “total package,” at this stage.

-- Confident Tara Simon wanted to show vocal maturity and restraint. Her song of choice was “The Reason,” by Hoobastank . Tara was very pleased with her own performance; Justin however, wanted to hear “more sweet moments.”

Teens Category:

-- Diamond White sang Avril Lavigne ’s “I’m with You.” Will.i.am thought Diamond “sang amazing” but cares about her moves too much. Britney agreed that Diamond needed to work on her movements.

-- Arin Ray is a reject from last season’s  X Factor , where he was part of one of the ditched vocal groups. He sang the Nicki Minaj song "Starships.” Will.i.am said he had “potential,” while Britney said he could do with some work on his vocals.

-- Beatrice Miller was determined to do really well and win a place in the live rounds. She performed a version of David Guetta with Sia ’s “Titanium.” Will.i.am called her “fresh.” Britney wanted to hear a little more control in Beatrice’s vocals.

-- Carly Rose Sonenclar was excited and intimidated to have Britney as her coach. She hoped to give “the performance of [her] life.” Carly chose the song “Brokenhearted,” by Karmin . Will.i.am likened Carly to a little caterpillar waiting to turn into a butterfly. Britney was concerned that the young singer might not handle the pressure, going forward.

The X Factor returns to Fox on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
