WAUSAU, WI  (WSAU)  -  If you want to meet politicians, Friday is your best opportunity. Wisconsin is definitely a battleground state, and Wausau is apparently Friday’s battlefield.

At about 11-o-clock, the Republicans roll into town on the Romney-Ryan tour bus. They will be at Republican Headquarters at 540 South 3rd Avenue. The list of VIP’s includes National Chairman Reince Priebus from Wisconsin, Congressman Sean Duffy, and Senator Ron Johnson. Organizers say other candidates may also be there.

First Lady Michelle Obama speaks at UW-Marathon County’s fieldhouse in the 4-o-clock hour, but if you are fortunate enough to have a ticket to the event, you should go at least an hour early due to security and parking concerns. Candidate for Congress Patrick Kreitlow will attend this event. It is also likely that Senate candidate Tammy Baldwin will return to Wausau after spending the morning campaigning in the Rhinelander area.

With only 18 days until the election, this may be your best chance to meet candidates and learn where they stand on your issues.
