As a former American Idol judge, Jennifer Lopez is familiar with the kind of tension that can go on behind the scenes of the hit Fox show. That's why she doesn't think that the much-publicized feud between new judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj is simply a stunt to grab ratings.
Speaking to BBC's Newsbeat , J-Lo says she's "heard a little bit" about the Mariah/Nicki throwdown, which allegedly involved Nicki threatening to shoot Mariah. "As far as my experience goes, whatever's happening is usually really real," said Jennifer.
But while you'd think Lopez would be happy to be away from all that drama, the singer and actress says she's sad not to be a part of American Idol anymore. "I do miss it," she said. "I loved doing the show and I loved all the people there."
Jennifer's currently in the U.K. for her world tour, which will travel from Europe to the Middle East to Asia before wrapping up mid-December in Australia.
