SUPERIOR, WI (WTAQ) - Two 19-year-old Minnesota men are charged with an armed car-jacking near a Walmart in Superior – and one of them is also accused of possessing synthetic marijuana.
According to prosecutors, the car-jacking victim gave Cheyenne Smith of Cloquet and Jesse Bohanon of McGregor a ride home from a tavern to the men’s disabled vehicle on October 11th.
The men allegedly went to a stoplight, pointed a gun at the victim, and fled in the victim’s auto. The victim was not injured. The suspects were arrested last week.
Police said they got a report of a man prowling around vehicles when they nabbed Smith. Bohanon was picked up in a Superior nightspot.
Smith posted a $10,000 bond after appearing in Douglas County Circuit Court Monday on charges of carjacking, possessing synthetic pot, and obstructing police. He’s due back in court November 14th for a preliminary hearing.
Bohanon faces a single carjacking count. Online court records do not indicate that he made an initial appearance yet. An investigation continues.
