UNDATED (WSAU) Most of Central Wisconsin saw heavy rain and thunderstorms overnight.
Wisconsin Public Service says earlier outages in the Wausau area have been restored. A new line of thunderstorms later in the morning caused additional outages in the Tomahawk and Rhinelander areas. More than 5,000 homes were in the dark as of 10a.
Overnigh Wisconsin Public Service reported about 1,000 customers without power at the height of the storm. Most of those outages were in the Wausau area. There were other scattered outages in Rhinelander and Minocquafrom the first wave of storms.
