MERRILL, WI (WSAU) -  What started as a call to break up a fight ended with a handful of underage drinking citations. Lincoln County deputies and Merrill Police officers responded to a 9-1-1 call about a fight in the middle of the road just after 3:00 a.m. Saturday. When they got there, officers found no fight but seven people between 17 and 20 years old that had been drinking. Several people took off running when police arrived. Two people from Stratford, one each from Neillsville, Hewitt, Loyal, Merrillan and Merrill were ticketed for underage consumption of alcohol.
